Prospects of Internet Cafes

My opinion about prospect for Internet Cafe in my area is Low.

I get that opinion because my area is vulnerable to get lightning strike. That condition had been happened to one of internet cafe near my area when heavy rain/downpour happens. The lightning strike caused damage to several computers and internet network at that internet cafe.

But if someone wants to build an internet cafe near my area, he/she can build internet cafe with lightning rod but it doesn't guarantee condition computers and network during lightning strike happens. So beside using the lightning rod, the internet cafe needs to stop their network with plug out your network from server or modem during heavy rain/downpour was happening. With that the electricity from lightning not flowing to server or computer cable.

Format And Style in Bussiness Letter

A business letter were critical to corespondent business. Format used for writing letters particular enterprise. Means a business letter look like this matters because create impressions on readers. Format letter companies have many done to making an impression upon readers. A simple format of a help deliver messages it clear to readers. Based on identity and structure paragraph, there are five format is used in writing letters business. Namely:

1. Full block style

Writing on full block style: business letter usually located on flattened left as letter head, date, inside address, subject, salutation, body of letter, complementary a close, signature or as a whole of format letter being in a position flattened left.

2. Block Style

When he was writing a business letter, for example, a letter a request for work you must pay attention to the format or style of letters and a typeface ( font ) used. The format of a business letter most frequently used is the block style. Applying this format all parts of a letter written flattened left with spaces between lines single / of a sentence and spaced duple inter-intercity alinea or paragraphs. The image on the latter part of this article is an example of a business letter with the format of the block.

3. Semi-block style
Semi-blok fromat: in a format this text parallel left and all paragraphs in the letter is indented. Format shape on this letter on letter head, date, complementary a close, and signature being in a position flattened right. In the layout uneven right, but can dibilangg flattened middle. Other parts on a letter as inside address, subject, salutation, body of letter, and enclosure if terdapatnya attachment letter,Being flattened on the left.

4. This format Indented Style

On the first line at the beginning of each paragraph starts with a few spaces from the left side, the distance is usually 1 cm spacing. the writing inside the address and signature section is done identasi. The magnitude of the identasi on each line is directly proportional to the order line. For example the first line does not do identasi, on the second row done identasi 0, 5 cm, in the third line is also done identasi 1 cm, etc. On the first line of every paragraph begins a few spaces from the left side. Usually 1 cm spacing distance from the left border.

5.  Simplifed Style Format

Simple shapes (Simplified Style) is a form letter that is almost similar to the shape Straight Full but only without any greeting and closing greeting. Usually this letter goes to the people who were working at the company. Sometimes the simple form of letter writing is very simple without regard neatness and regularity.

SIMPLIFIED STYLE
This is another modification of the fully-blocked style. This style is used when you write a letter and you do not know the name and title of the person to whom you are writing the letter. The salutation and the complimentary closing are used in this style. The subject is mentioned din capital fonts and that subject need not be underlined. 
Today around all the business houses, this style is widely used when the writer of the letters does not want to give importance to formality. Since the formality is not adopted here, this style goes to the heart of the addressee. This style give more importance only to the core matter of the letter.

6. Hanging Style Format

Hanging Style is the Format paragrafnya hang, or leaning more to the left. the form of this letter on letter head, date, complementary close and signature are in the position of the Middle letters. The other part on letters such as the inside address, salutation, body, subject of letter are in the position of left-align. at the beginning of the paragraph, paragraphs hanging is not spaced.

Bussiness Letter

Part of Bussiness Letter

1. Letter head:
-------------------
It includes organization’s name, full address, telephone number etc.

2. Date line:
--------------
Date line usually placed at least one line below the heading. It can be written either in left or fight merging.

3. Inside address:
---------------------
It indicates the receiver of the letter. It includes name and address of the receiver.

4. Salutation:
------------------
It is almost similar to the first line of the inside address. For the male singular it is ‘Dear Sir’ for the female ‘Dear Madam’ etc.

5. Body of the letter:
--------------------------
This is the heart of a letter. Infect the main message or information are given in this part of a letter.
Body of a letter has three parts:

i. The opening paragraph
ii. Middle paragraph or communication
iii. The closing paragraph.

6. Complementary close:
-----------------------------
It is typed below the body of a letter. It is the closing of a letter on a friendly note. Popular forms are as follows:

7. Signature block:

It should be several lines below the complementary close.

8. Initials:
-------------
Initials appear at the left margin and are typed at least two (2) lines below the signature block. It is the short signature of the type writer or computer operator.

9. Enclosure:

It appears at the bottom of the letter. It mentions the attachment of the other papers with the letter.

10. Carbon copy notation:

It indicates names of the persons who are receiving the carbon copy’s (CC) or photo copy’s (Pc) of the letter.

Metode ilmiah

Metode ilmiah atau proses ilmiah merupakan proses keilmuan untuk memperoleh pengetahuan secara sistematis berdasarkan bukti fisis. Ilmuwan melakukan observasi serta membentuk hipotesis dalam usahanya untuk menjelaskan fenomena alam. Prediksi yang dibuat berdasarkan hipotesis tersebut diuji dengan melakukan eksperimen. Jika suatu hipotesis lolos uji berkali-kali, hipotesis tersebut dapat menjadi suatu teori ilmiah.

Menurut Almadk (1939),” metode ilmiah adalah cara menerapkan prinsip-prinsip logis terhadap penemuan, pengesahan dan penjelasan kebenaran. Sedangkan Ostle (1975) berpendapat bahwa metode ilmiah adalah pengejaran terhadap sesuatu untuk memperoleh sesuatu interelasi.”

Selain itu Metode Ilmiah merupakan suatu cara sistematis yang digunakan oleh para ilmuwan untuk memecahkan masalah yang dihadapi. Metode ini menggunakan langkah-langkah yang sistematis, teratur dan terkontrol. Pelaksanaan metode ilmiah ini meliputi enam tahap, yaitu:

1.  Merumuskan masalah. Masalah adalah sesuatu yang harus diselesaikan.

2. Mengumpulkan keterangan, yaitu segala informasi yang mengarah dan dekat pada pemecahan masalah. Sering disebut juga mengkaji teori atau kajian pustaka.

3. Menyusun hipotesis. Hipotesis merupakan jawaban sementara yang disusun berdasarkan data atau keterangan yang diperoleh selama observasi atau telaah pustaka.

4.  Menguji hipotesis dengan melakukan percobaan atau penelitian.

5. Mengolah data (hasil) percobaan dengan menggunakan metode statistik untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian dengan metode ini adalah data yang objektif, tidak dipengaruhi subyektifitas ilmuwan peneliti dan universal (dilakukan dimana saja dan oleh siapa saja akan memberikan hasil yang sama).

6. Menguji kesimpulan. Untuk meyakinkan kebenaran hipotesis melalui hasil percobaan perlu dilakukan uji ulang. Apabila hasil uji senantiasa mendukung hipotesis maka hipotesis itu bisa menjadi kaidah (hukum) dan bahkan menjadi teori.

Metode ilmiah didasari oleh sikap ilmiah. Sikap ilmiah semestinya dimiliki oleh   setiap penelitian dan ilmuwan. Adapun sikap ilmiah yang dimaksud adalah :

1. Rasa ingin tahu

2. Jujur (menerima kenyataan hasil penelitian dan tidak mengada-ada)

3. Objektif (sesuai fakta yang ada, dan tidak dipengaruhi oleh perasaan pribadi)

4. Tekun (tidak putus asa)

5. Teliti (tidak ceroboh dan tidak melakukan kesalahan)

6. Terbuka (mau menerima pendapat yang benar dari orang lain)

Karakteristik Metode Ilmiah diantaranya :

1. Karya Ilmiah Harus Berdasarkan Fakta

Menulis karya ilmiah harus berdasarkan fakta, bukan hasil imajinasi atau semacammnya . dan fakta” itu berupa data empiris yang harus dapat diukur dan dianalisis lebih lanjud .

2. Karya Ilmiah Harus Berdasarkan Pertimbangan Objektif

Pertimbangan objektif didasarkan pada pertimbangan apa adanya bukan bsifat subyektif, bebas dari prasangka dan kira”.

3. Karya Ilmiah Harus Menggunakan Asas Analisis

Maksudnya, karya ilmiah itu harus dapat dianalisis (diuraikan, dibandingkan, diinterpretasikan). yang artinya karya ilmiah harus dapat menggambarkan karakteristik , fungsi dan kaitan pmasalahan satu dg lainnya.


4. Karya Ilmiah Harus Bersifat Kuantitatif – Kualitatif

Pendekatan ilmiah beda dengan pendekatan alamiah. kalo pendekatan ilmiah itu sifatnya kuantitatif tapi kalo pendekatan alamiah itu sifatnya kualitatif.

5. Karya Ilmiah Menggunakan Logika Deduktif – Hipotetik

Logika deduktif adalah penalaran yg bertitik tolak dan hal-hal yg sifatnya umum yg sudah memiliki kebenaran yg pasti baik dr hasil penelitian para pakar ato dr yg lainnya. Kebenaran hipotesis harus dibuktikan secara empiris melalui penelitian lapangan maka disebut bahwa karya ilmiah tersebut sesuai logika deduktif-hipotetik

6. Karya Ilmiah Harus Menggunakan Logika Induktif Generalisasi

Kebenaran hipotesis bersifat rasional, oleh karenanya bersifat sementara . Untuk memperoleh kebenaran ilmiah masih harus dibuktikan dengan data empiris hasil penelitian . ksimpulan dr data empiris bsifat generalisasi. sdangkan kesesuaian data empiris dengan pemikiran rasional hipotesis disebut asas korespondensi. kesimpulan yg bersifat generalisasi dr data empiris disebut logika induktif yg kebenrannya bersifat probabilistik.

Langkah-Langkah Dalam Metode Ilmiah :

      Metode ilmiah dalam meneliti mempunyai kriteria serta langkah-langkah tertentu dalam Metode ilmiah bekerja. seperti di bawah ini.

1. Perumusan masalah

Permasalahan merupakan pertanyaan ilmiah yang harus diselesaikan. Permasalahan dinyatakan dalam pertanyaan terbuka yaitu pertanyaan dengan jawaban berupa suatu pernyataan, bukan jawaban ya atau tidak.

• Batasi permasalahan seperlunya agar tidak terlalu luas.

• Pilih permasalahan yang penting dan menarik untuk diteliti

• Pilih permasalahan yang dapat diselesaikan secara eksperimen


2. Penyusunan kerangka berfikir

Penyusunan kerangka berfikir dalam pengajuan hpotesis yang merupakan argumentasi yang menjelaskan hubungan yang mungkin terdapat antara berbagai factor yang saling mengkait dan membentuk konstelasi permasalahan kerangka berfikir ini di susun secara rasional berdasarkan permis-premis ilmiah yang telah teruji kebenarannya dengan memperhatikan factor- factor empiris yang relevan dengan permasalahan.


3. Perumusan hipotesa

Hipotesis merupakan suatu ide atau dugaan sementara tentang penyelesaian masalah yang diajukan dalam proyek ilmiah. Hipotesis dirumuskan atau dinyatakan sebelum penelitian yang seksama atas topik proyek ilmiah dilakukan, karenanya kebenaran hipotesis ini perlu diuji lebih lanjut melalui penelitian yang seksama. Yang perlu diingat, jika menurut hasil pengujian ternyata hipotesis tidak benar bukan berarti penelitian yang dilakukan salah.

• Gunakan pengalaman atau pengamatan lalu sebagai dasar hipotesis

• Rumuskan hipotesis sebelum memulai proyek eksperimen


4. Pengujian hipotesa

Eksperimen dirancang dan dilakukan untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Perhitungkan semua variabel, yaitu semua yang berpengaruh pada eksperimen. Ada tiga jenis variabel yang perlu diperhatikan pada eksperimen: variabel bebas, variabel terikat, dan variabel kontrol.

Varibel bebas merupakan variabel yang dapat diubah secara bebas. Variabel terikat adalah variabel yang diteliti, yang perubahannya bergantung pada variabel bebas. Variabel kontrol adalah variabel yang selama eksperimen dipertahankan tetap.

• Usahakan hanya satu variabel bebas selama eksperimen.

• Pertahankan kondisi yang tetap pada variabel-variabel yang diasumsikan konstan.

• Lakukan eksperimen berulang kali untuk memvariasi hasil.

• Catat hasil eksperimen secara lengkap dan seksama.

5. Penarikan kesimpulan

Kesimpulan proyek merupakan ringkasan hasil proyek eksperimen dan pernyataan bagaimana hubungan antara hasil eksperimen dengan hipotesis. Alasan-alasan untuk hasil eksperimen yang bertentangan dengan hipotesis termasuk di dalamnya. Jika dapat dilakukan, kesimpulan dapat diakhiri dengan memberikan pemikiran untuk penelitian lebih lanjut.

Jika hasil eksperimen tidak sesuai dengan hipotesis:

• Jangan ubah hipotesis

• Jangan abaikan hasil eksperimen

• Berikan alasan yang masuk akal mengapa tidak sesuai

• Berikan cara-cara yang mungkin dilakukan selanjutnya untuk menemukan penyebab ketidaksesuaian

• Bila cukup waktu lakukan eksperimen sekali lagi atau susun ulang eksperimen.
